I think the 'Quilt as you Go' technique is absolutely fabulous and I have managed to not only whip up this little beauty in no time but have also managed to enjoy every minute of it.
The other good thing about it is that I have used up fabric amongst my stash including the backing and bac-ground fabric as well as using up my scraps of wadding.
I'm going to be teaching this technique as a 10 week course (for beginners) from September. Although there are 9 blocks in this little quilt I'm going to leave it unfinished so that I can add more blocks as part of my demonstration. I have plans to make this into a super-large quilt to keep.

This has turned out beautifully! The quilt as you go is intriguing, but personally I find it more tedious than quilting a big quilt! Each to their own!
It looks very nice! I took a class on this one time and haven't really used it...although I like the technique a lot.
Looks great...and as you said a great way to use up scraps of wadding!
