I LOVE it when a plan comes together ...

I have had this idea for an elephant quilt for quite a while, but wasn't quite sure how I could put it together. I had great fun playing with 'Sweet' fabric over a few snowy days and thought that perhaps they could show off these elephants.

I am lucky enough to have had the opportunity to watch wild elephants in Africa and it really does make your heart skip a beat to watch the way they care for each other, defend their young and go about their daily business. They really are magnificent creatures.

I'm so, so pleased with the way this quilt top came together and can't wait to have the whole quilt put together - now to decide how to quilt it - any ideas???

Take care

Oh it is stunning...those pink elephants are adorable! And I love how you used stitchery to accent them.

Haven't a clue how you'd quilt it...that's the bit I always struggle with.

Oh this is gorgeous. It seems elephants are on more than just your mind. I have elephant applique blocks I'm working on for my grand daughter. No idea on the quilting, I need to sit and look at a quilt for a while before I decide how to quilt it.

Your elefant quilt is really adorable! I love the soft colors!

Maybe stippling around the appliqué?

Happy sewing!

Happy New Year Caroline (I don't think I've said that yet?)
I love love love this quilt. Love the sweet little elephants.
I'm not supposed to be buying patterns this year but if there were baby girls in my family I would be buying it in a flash.
Are you producing a pattern?

I love this quilt. I really think you should produce a pattern for this one because it would sell like hotcakes. I would buy it.
